August 2014

We got to visit Grandpa (and his horses) this month...

Abby enjoyed a riding quads with dad around Grandpa's property.

Tradition called for a trip to Bahama Bucks on the last day of summer break. Abby had fun with Noah, Ellie, and Lucy!

Abby kind of rules the house and thinks rules don't apply to her... such as "don't touch dad's ipad".

Abby was up way before usual so that we could walk Noah to school on his first day...

...she was OUT by about 9am that morning for a nap.

Blow-dried and styled hair called for a picture. This was the day after Abby's 15-month well check when she got shots in her arms. :(

Abby loves Noah. She follows him into his room every night and wants to hang out with him. Especially when he shares his crushed ice with her!

Dirty birdy!!! (raspberries)

We can't wait for it too cool off outside... Abby has discovered some toys in our side yard and wants to go out there all the time.

Mom was desperate to keep Abby entertained while she got some work done... Abby loved the idea of bringing the little table into the family room, and she sat there for at least 30 minutes, thinking she was cool!

(Mimicking mom at the grocery store)

We went down to Daddy's work and Abby found a perfect little cubby to sit inside of!

This is the day that our air conditioning wasn't working. Poor Abby and her sweaty head!

Books are Abby's latest obsession...

(The Napping House is her current favorite.)

We used our pogo passes for a fun day at Sunsplash! We met Lance, Suzy, and Ellie there.

Mom loves sleeping pictures!

Abby knows how to use a phone...

Miss independent wants to feed herself now... and Mom isn't OK with that!

Daw-dog obsession! (Sadie, Ellie's dog)

Dad's sidekick every night before bed:

July 2014

Abby got her first haircut on July 1st (14 months old) by Natalie Hall. She went from a mullet to a cute little bob, but by the end of July she was needing another haircut!

Abby found herself a fun little "hideout" in the bathroom cupboard. She likes to get in there, then close the cupboard, open it, and say "BOO"!

On the morning of July 4th, we went to Wilson (our neighborhood school) to participate in a "bike parade". We decorated our bikes / float (bike trailer) then rode around the block with lots of friends and neighbors. We ended at the school and ate donuts. We got to see the Baldwins since we live in the same neighborhood...

Later that day, we drove to Payson for their fireworks show. We got there several hours before the fireworks show so we just hung out in the nice weather... much nicer than home! Sadly, it started pouring rain right at 9:00 when the fireworks were supposed to start, so we left. The next day we found out that the fireworks did happen after we left! Abby thought she was cool climbing on and off the chairs that day.

Abby's latest obsession is shoes... if there are shoes out and not where they belong in the closet, she will try to put them on herself or on someone else.

She pretty much makes herself at home wherever she goes!

Abby on the left, and Mommy on the right! Its the exact same expression and from the nose down Abby looks a lot like mom's baby picture.

This is what happened the day after we got home from Lake Powell. Dad left for work in the morning and Abby stood at the door and cried for him. He had not been to work in 10 days (with the holiday happening right before our vacation) and she didn't like that he had to go back (neither did mom).

Such a big girl riding the skitter at Grandma & Poppy's house!

Eating pizza with cousin Otto at Grandma Price's house

Monkey girl!

We went to a Diamondbacks game and the kids got to meet Baxter the bobcat...

... but Abby liked him better from far away!

Loving daddy on the walk back to the car after the game!

Bowling with cousins! The babies even got to bowl :)

Visiting Grandma Riggs

Roxy took Abby for a ride in Grandma Riggs's wheelchair but Abby didn't love it!

Watching the "baby channel"

Such a sweet and sad little baby... she was staring at her door through the "jail bars" on her crib for about 15 minutes before falling asleep. This was after she was shaking her head "no" when mom put her in the crib for the night. We had to take a picture of the monitor... so sad but so cute!
